Lisa Roskens, Chairman
Lisa is Chairman of the Board of the OEF and Chief Executive Officer of the Burlington Capital Group LLC. Prior to coming to the Burlington Capital Group in 2000, Lisa served as Managing Director of Twin Compass, LLC and was the Director of Business Development at Inacom Corporation. From 1995 to 1997, she served as Finance Director for the U.S. Senate campaign of Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska. A graduate of Stanford Law School, Lisa was an attorney with the Kutak Rock law firm in Omaha, Nebraska from 1992-1995, specializing in commercial litigation.
Lisa is also an avid amateur jumper rider. In 2001 she founded Take Flights Farms, a 501(c)(3) organization that incorporates horses into therapeutic and learning programs. Her love for equestrian sport and for her home city spurred her to found the Omaha Equestrian Foundation in 2011.
Jon Garner, Director of Sport
Jon Garner is a veteran of the international show jumping world. Originally from Great Britain, he moved to Canada after military service in 1991, where he competed and coached. Jon competed regularly in FEI competitions and, after the 2004 season, retired from competition to take on many roles as Director of Sport. During this time Jon, has overseen numerous CSI and CSIO 5* events as well as two FEI World Children's Finals.
In 2011, Jon was the jumping consultant for the Live Oak International in Ocala, Florida, and has acted in a similar capacity for the International Omaha. Jon is currently Chair of Equine Canada's Hunter/Jumper Competitions Committee and sat on the Dean's Advisory Board for The University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2016, John became Director of Sport for Equine Canada.
Thomas Baur, Director of Dressage
Thomas is the organizer of several International CDI Dressage Shows across Europe, and has been a member of several European Championship Committees for Jumping, Dressage and Eventing. He has been the Sports Director of the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida, for the past three years, and has also been a member of the FEI Dressage Committee.
Marty Bauman, Chief Press Officer and Director of Equestrian Marketing
Marty is the owner of Classic Communications, a public relations and marketing company that services many of the top equestrian events across the nation including the Hampton Classic, Lake Placid Horse Shows, Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Las Vegas National Horse Show, Great Meadow International and Jersey Fresh International to name a few. He has served as Press Chief for the last eight Show Jumping World Cup Finals held in the United States—at Tampa, FL in 1989, at Del Mar, CA in 1992, and at Las Vegas, NV in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2015. Marty was also Director of Media Services and Operations for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Lexington, Kentucky. He also serves as Executive Director of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame and Museum.
